Crochet Granny Square Pattern with 3D flower / Crochet Motif #1

Lets the journey begin! This is the first crochet square pattern posted on my blog. You can read more about me and how I got hooked by crochet and what is this blog about on the about page.

The first square should be a special one. Don’t you agree? This square was designed for a floral blanket I made for my niece, and I just love it. This crochet square with 3D flowers is easy to crochet and I love the idea of the large central part and smaller petals. Yes, I think it is easy to crochet, but I don’t think it is beginner-friendly. I also don’t think you will be a fan of this crochet square if you hate puff stitch. I need to confess, I started to like a puff stitch after I made plenty of them, and now it is one of my favorite.

How you can use this crochet granny square with 3D flower? I think a flower-themed crochet blanket is always a good idea as a gift for any girl. You can make all squares in the same colors or use multiple colors to make it funnier. It will also work perfectly for a leftovers blanket. Use different girly colors and make a bright and happy blanket.

You can use this crochet square to make a flower-themed pillow cover. And of course, it can be included as a part of a blanket made of plenty of different squares. You can adjust its size to the size you need by adding a round of single crochet or double crochet.
