Abbreviations: st – stitch, sl-st – slip stitch, ch – chain, sc – single crochet, hdc – half double crochet, dc – double crochet, tr – treble crochet, fp – front post, bp – back post, tbl – third back loop, Front Post Puff st – Yarn over, insert hook from front to back to front around post of indicated st, yarn over and pull up a loop, repeat 3 more times, 9 loops on hook, yarn over and pull through all 9 loops, ch 1 to close front post puff stitch. Cluster of 2dc -Yarn over, insert hook into indicated stitch or space, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. Repeat once more in same stitch or space. 3 loops on hook. Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops. Popcorn – 5dc in same st, remove hook from loop and insert from front to back of 1st dc and into a dropped loop and pull through. To close popcorn ch 1. Ch 1 counts as a part of popcorn st.
ROUND 1. Slip knot (R1.1), ch4 (R1.2), insert hook into 1st chain (R1.3), yarn over and pull through to form a ring (R1.4), ch2 (does not count as stitch) (R1.5), 16dc into the ring. Join 1st dc with a sl-st. (R1.6)
Stitch count: 16 dc.
ROUND 2. ch2 (does not count as stitch) (R2.1), dc in same st (R2.2), *ch3, skip next st, dc in next st (R2.3) *, repeat ** 8 times, omit last dc. Join to 1st dc with a sl-st, fasten off, and secure ends. (R2.4)
Stitch count: 8 dc, 8 ch3 spaces
ROUND 3. Join with a standing sc in any dc of round 2 (R3.1), *ch2, working in front of ch3 space of round 2 fp puff st around skipped dc of round 1, ch2, skip ch3 space of round 2, sc in next st (R3.2)*, repeat ** 8 times, omit last sc. Join to standing sc with a sl-st, fasten off, and secure ends. (R3.3)

I love this afghan and have been enjoying crocheting it; however, now that I’m up into the area of rounds 50+ I’m starting to discover several typos and at the end of a round it states repeat from * the number of times however there is no * to be found. It is quite frustrating cause now I don’t know where to start the next side (I have been figuring it out). I had to set the afghan aside for awhile but intend to pick it up again.
